Earth, considered by many as just a rock in space with its dominant race of bipedal primates constantly at war with itself over resources, territory, and money. But, as of this moment, on the night of June 12th, 2301, if one would look up, they would see three meteors, one white, one gray, and one black. The meteors landed outside of town, then three women crawled out of the craters. They all wore the same outfit design; a knee-high skirt with plenty of petticoats and roses around the hem as well as a royal cathedral train normally found on wedding dresses, a rose with pearls and leaves in the right side of their hair, white tights and leotards with a gem over their navels, a ring on their right ring finger, a bracelet around their left wrists, a ribbon tied into a large bow on the backs of their waists, opera gloves, puffy shoulders, ballet flats, ear studs, a necklace with a gemstone set in it, a gold makeup compact attached to their right hips, and a crown on their foreheads. The outfits’ main colors, however, were totally different, just as the ladies wearing them. One of the ladies was a woman with African features and an hourglass body shape, but her hair and eyes were snowy-white as was the rest of her outfit. The second lady was pale, had the same hourglass figure, and had long black hair. The only things white on her were her tights and leotard. The rest of her outfit, including the gemstones, were as black as her hair and eyes. Both ladies were eight feet tall. The last lady (standing at seven and a half feet tall) was plump, had pale skin, gray hair, gray eyes, and while her leotard and tights were white, the rest of her outfit was gray. The one in white looked around. “…Town seems remote enough,” she remarked. Grace, Belinda, how do the locals measure time?”
“Same as us, Wilma,” replied the one in gray. “And all the other planets we visited. …I just can’t believe we have to base ourselves on such a regular backwater world.”
“We trained the Roses on those planets,” soothed the one in black. “Those planets will be fine.” Just then, her compact flashed. “A call?” she muttered. She opened her compact and looked in the mirror. A man’s face then appeared. “General Williams!”
“Empress Belinda! Thank the Cosmos!” the man sighed in relief. “Are your fellow Empresses-?!”
“We’re here, General!” replied the woman in white, Wilma.
“What happened?!” asked the woman in gray, Grace.
“The Entroopers attacked us!” explained Williams. “We’re barely holding on! We need to land to effect repairs!”
“Let me send you landing coordinates!” replied Grace. She pulled a little number pad out and typed in the coordinates. “Did you get them?”
“We’ll land as close as possible there,” answered Williams. “But be prepared for combat. The Entroopers may attack!”
“Understood,” replied Belinda. She then closed her compact. “Suppose we’d better greet them.” The three headed to the coordinates they indicated and kept a lookout. In true fashion to ships of their planet, the refugee ship appeared.
“Right on top of the coordinates!” chuckled Wilma. The doors opened. “Welcome, friends, to a bastion of…” What came out wasn’t humanoid like Wilma and her friends! It was a gray creature with limbs like a humanoid, but it had four fingers, a pair of chelicerae, black orbs for eyes, horns on its head, and two toes on its digitigrade feet! “NO!” wailed Wilma.
“ENTROOPER! ENTROOPER!” shouted the creature! More of its comrades spilled out of the ship with four humanoid men coming out behind them!
“Fool!” taunted one of the men. “Have you forgotten my ability to mimic voices?! This planet has been set aside for me and I intend to finally kill you weeds! Entroopers, destroy the Cosmic Roses! And quit with the whole ‘ENTROOPER’ thing! It’s no longer necessary!”
“Aw, but it’s fun!” complained an Entrooper. The man then leveled his cane at the offending Entrooper. “B-BUTWEWILLOBEY!” yelped the Entrooper. The gems on the ladies’ navels then glowed as something appeared in each of their hands. Wilma had a lantern, Grace had a spear that looked like scales, and Belinda had a long silk scarf.
“EMPRESS LIGHT LANTERN FLASH!” announced Wilma. A bright light then shot out, blinding the Entroopers.
“EMPRESS BALANCE SPEAR JUDGEMENT!” called Grace. She twirled her spear and the scales slammed into the Entroopers.
“EMPRESS DARK VEIL SHADOW!” shouted Belinda. Her scarf grew and wrapped around the Entroopers, cocooning them until they sunk into the shadows. That didn’t deter the Entroopers. They still came pouring out of that ship!
It was the start of summer vacation for three girls! The leader of this troupe was a short Japanese-American named Ruby Kobayashi, the brains was a plump girl of African descent named Bethany Williams, and the hothead was a rather skinny girl named Yazmyn Jacobson. “Summer vacation, let’s GOOOO!” cheered Yazmyn.
“I have to admit, even the science teacher was getting to me,” muttered Bethany.
“So, what’s first for us today?” mused Ruby.
“You’re the leader, you ought to know!” cackled Yazmyn as she clapped Ruby on the back, nearly bowling her over.
“We could check out that museum exhibit that opened,” mused Bethany.
“Beth, Babe, it’s SUMMER,” said Yazmyn. “We don’t need to learn!”
“If you learn when nobody’s making you do it,” replied Bethany, “it counts as fun.”
“She’s got a point,” remarked Ruby.
“Well, this girl’s only looking for fun and learning’s never been fun for me!” countered Yazmyn.
“Please yourself, but we really SHOULD do something that Bethany would like,” said Ruby. “How about this; we head to that exhibit tomorrow and go to the arcade today, hm?”
“…Sounds all right,” replied Bethany.
“Fine, we can do that,” muttered Yazmyn. “Still gotta spank ya!”
“Excuse me, you mean I gotta spank YOU!” chuckled Ruby. Before the banter could continue, they heard a noise that sounded like “ENTROOPER!”
“…You girls heard that too, right?” asked Bethany.
“Sounds like a grunt from a Tokusatsu show,” remarked Ruby.
“Maybe they’re filming some new Power Rangers thing?” asked Yazmyn. “You know, the American footage to go with the original Super Sentai fight footage?”
“Power Rangers are making their own fight footage these days,” said Ruby. “Maybe it’s a fan parody. Let’s check it out.” The girls followed the noises carefully. They saw a group of Entroopers with hostages tied up. They were dancing around, shouting “ENTROOPER!”
“…I’m amazed their costuming department could get digitigrade legs to work,” mused Bethany.
“…Wait, look!” yelped Ruby. She pointed at the hostages! They were Ruby’s parents, Daichi and Hannah, her brother Mako, Bethany’s parents, Bob and Heather, and Yazmyn’s grandparents, Bill and Margaret!
“Are they extras?” asked Yazmyn.
“No, look at them closely!” urged Ruby. Her friends did so and goggled in terror! Their families were clearly beaten!
“Okay, that’s way too real to be makeup!” said Yazmyn. “We gotta get in there and…what’s that in his hands?” She pointed out an Entrooper with a device in his hands.
“I think we better see what they intend to do with it,” remarked Bethany. The Entrooper then keyed something into the device.
“…I know exactly what they intend to do with it!” hissed Yazmyn. “That’s a bomb and he’s armed it!” She rushed into the group of Entroopers, taking their guns and firing at them.
“YAZMYN, WAIT!” shouted Ruby.
“HEY! THAT’S IMPERIAL PROPERTY!” shouted an Entrooper as he realized it was one of HIS guns Yazmyn had. No dice. Yazmyn fired, downing quite a few Entroopers. Ruby and Bethany rolled their eyes.
“Of all the times!” complained Ruby as she grabbed a steel rod. She swung it like a sword and bashed a few Entrooper heads. Bethany found a nearby metal garbage can lid and frisbee’d it into more Entroopers. The girls fought their way to their families.
“Ruby! What are you doing here?!” asked Mako.
“Rescuing you guys by blindly charging into these monsters, it looks like!” replied Ruby.
“…So…who’s going to save you three?” asked Bob.
“Hadn’t planned that far ahead, Papa,” replied Bethany. “Yazmyn just charged in!”
“Is now REALLY the time for a lecture on how reckless I am?!” argued Yazmyn. More Entroopers appeared, replacing their downed comrades. “…Okay, I admit it, I bit off more than I could chew here!” gulped Yazmyn.
“If this IS the end,” said Bethany, “I want you to know that no matter where we go…I’m gonna be smacking you upside the head repeatedly for being this stupid.”
“EMPRESS BALANCE SPEAR JUDGEMENT!” called a new voice. A new woman then appeared and performed what could only be described as her Magical Girl Attack, destroying the Entroopers. Everyone goggled when they saw Grace reveal herself. “WILMA! BELINDA! OVER HERE!” she called. Her friends, Wilma and Belinda, then arrived.
“…If I weren’t in a bit of pain right now,” said Bethany, “I’d say this was a dream.”
“Where three Magical Girls just saved our butts?” asked Ruby.
“A rather vivid dream,” remarked Daichi.
“We can’t stay here!” urged Belinda. “We’ll get to safety and explain everything while we heal you all!” Belinda then extended her silk scarf, wrapped around everyone, then they all vanished, shocking the Entroopers!
